Founder & Artist

Welcome to Last Wave Co, where my love for art, sustainability, and the vibrant spirit of Hawaii's surf culture collide.

It all started during the uncertain times of the pandemic when I found myself furloughed, with an abundance of time and a desire to channel my creativity. It was then that I stumbled upon my roommate's old surfboard, waiting quietly in a corner. With a spark of inspiration, I transformed that forgotten board into a captivating work of art that now takes center stage in our living room. Eager to share this newfound passion, I shared the board on social media, never expecting the overwhelming response that followed.

The flood of messages from people that resonated with the beauty of upcycled art and asked if it was for sale, was both humbling and invigorating. It became clear that this was more than just a hobby—it was a calling, a chance to spread sustainability while cherishing the memories and stories embedded within each board.

I have a deep commitment to sustainability. I believe that art should not only captivate the eye but also be a force for good. By upcycling discarded surfboards, I give these forgotten treasures a new life. With every board I transform, I pay homage to the legendary surfers who rode those very waves, the tales of triumph and resilience that echo through the swells.

I couldn't have come this far without the unwavering support of our community. To those who have welcomed my art into their homes, and to those who have entrusted me with their old boards, I extend my deepest gratitude. It's your belief in this mission that fuels my creativity and drives me to keep crafting these unique art pieces.

Mahalo for being apart of the story!

Sincerely, Ash
